Our Programs
Mino-Bimadiziwin (Youth & Adult)
This workshop is for a full-day for adults or three evening sessions for youth. This workshop is mandatory for all clients to attend. The main focus is making positive and healthy decisions and life choices. Participants discuss the negative impacts of the poor choices that have led to criminal offence and participants are encouraged to assume responsibility for their actions.
Ikwe (Youth & Adult)
Ikwe is the Ojibway term for “woman”. This workshop shares woman’s teachings in a sharing environment. It explores special gifts that only women have and how to have respect for one’s being both physically, mentally and emotionally.
Inini (Youth & Adult)
Inini is the Ojibway term for “man”. This workshop gives teachings for the role of man and the associated responsibilities and codes of conduct within society. It also addresses the ways in which man should treat woman and those around him.
Negative Energy
This workshop is two sessions of two hours each session. This workshop focuses on anger and negative reactions to anger. Participants will learn how to identify triggers to anger and how to react with anger in check.
Sense of Belonging
This is a two hour workshop that looks at the appeal of gang life and the downfalls membership brings. The workshop offers substitutes and resources that could help prevent membership and/or leave gang life.
One Life
Is a two hour workshop that addresses addiction issues. I will explain the indicators of addiction, impacts on life, friends, family and the resources available to curb addiction.
Ki-Moo-Tin (Theft)
This workshop is designed for participants who have Theft Under offences. This workshop defines theft, stealing, kleptomania, peer pressure etc. Participants will learn about various community resources; employment centres, food banks, budgeting and such.
Living in Balance
Is a program designed to promote healthy relationships. It begins with defining a healthy relationship and how one could achieve and maintain one.
Ways of Being
This is a full day workshop. Participants learn how to build a sweatlodge, the significance and also have the opportunity to participate in a Sweatlodge Ceremony and Sharing Circle.
