The Brave Path is a customized plan that is designed to meet the needs of each of our clients. Our Community Justice Workers will determine the workshops and services in which the client is to take The CJW will contact the victim of each offence and offer them opportunity to influence the offenders Brave Path.
The clients Brave Path is determined by the type of charge and the willingness of the offender to take responsibility for the damage caused. Once the client has completed the case plan, the file is closed successfully, the individual may also be referred to additional agencies for housing, training, employment and education opportunities. If a client does not complete the identified Brave Path, their file is returned to the Manitoba Crown Attorneys Office as unsuccessful.
Effective September 15th, 2009 Onashowewin Inc. has organized a new governance structure that includes five new Board Members who are committed to governing, guiding and supporting the existing Onashowewin organization. All individuals have a vested interest and lend valuable expertise to Onashowewin.
We have assembled a strong Board of Directors that are representative of the Manitoba Métis community, Southern Manitoba First Nations, Northern Manitoba First Nations, Aboriginal Community Organizations and the broader Aboriginal community.
